In his carefully chosen anthology, Chris Corelli takes us backwards through the history of western classical music, from Walton to Bach and beyond, picking out works that he feels should appeal to Kindred Spirit readers. Okay, the CD wasn’t specifically made for us, but it could have been. Despite the surname, Chris takes us on this journey by guitar rather than mandolin. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) This CD’s comparative simplicity - just a finely played solo classical guitar, with no bells and whistles - makes it a refreshing joy.
